Mic-market.com Review: The Rolex Day Date You Shouldn't Wear On A Date

In this Mic-market.com review, I want to talk a little about something that I really started to enjoy sporting lately, and that is all gold watches. And really, what better candidate than a replica Rolex Day Date? As you might already know, these models are only available in solid gold or platinum, making them the ideal choice for my endeavor. Of course, you can't expect a replica Rolex to really use solid gold, but expecting it not to fall apart is not too much to ask.

Quality: Are These Watches Any Good?

So, I bought a Rolex Day Date replica from these guys, hoping that nothing will go wrong. After all, the model is a simple one, even if gold plated. Ok, plating could wear off after a while, but that's about it. It doesn't have a chronograph function or who knows what other kind of gimmicks.
I can't say this Day Date is a good Rolex replica, but I can't say it's a horrible one, either.
The movement is a Japanese self-winding that keeps time decently. It needs some adjustments, but still decent If you ask me. The gold plating is nicely done from what I can tell, although it should withstand the test of time in order to really say it's good. About the dial I can't say much, mostly because it's hard to get it wrong with such a replica Rolex. Maybe the Cyclops lens magnifies a little less than it should, but it's not an obvious flaw by any means.
When we turn over this replica Rolex, the story takes a whole new turn. I really don't like the finishing of the lugs and the way the bracelet is pinned to the case. The edges are also very rough and I can go as far as to say they're a health hazard.
And I saved the worst for last, the clasp crown fell off this replica Rolex, making it very hard to take it off, besides looking like trash. I think you can easily see what horrible job they did at soldering it to the bracelet (there's a light spot where the crown used to be before falling off).
I guess you can go for a replacement bracelet if that's your thing, but think about it, it's a brand new watch, these things shouldn't happen! Imagine being on a date and while helping the lady get seated, the crown falls off in front of her eyes, exposing the fraud that is wrapped around your wrist.
You can see now why I can't call this a good Rolex replica. It's not the worse, but it's not a good one, either.

The Site: Usability and Design

I don't think the homepage could have looked any worse, even if they tried. My retinas really took a beating… All kind of colors, fonts, pictures, the perfect recipe to go take a walk to the ophthalmologist.
You can easily notice that these guys deal mostly with replica Rolex timepieces, the brands being listed on the left side.
Once you leave the homepage, things are not that bad (visually). I really don't like the way the collections are put together, they make it kind of hard to find the piece you're after.
The good news is that the pictures are of their own stock, properly watermarked, a thing that I rarely stumbled upon lately.

Service: Is Their Staff Any Good?

Not that bad, to be honest. The promised 3-5 hours for a response may be 8-10, but they do respond the same day. And by the way, email is the only way to contact them.

Shipping: Is It Fast and Reliable?

I paid around $20 for the shipping and got the replica Rolex in about three weeks. Considering it's the holiday season, I can't say it's a horrible shipping time, but I can't say it's good, either.

Return Policy: Is It Reasonable?

This is the part that I really disliked… Here's an excerpt from the homepage: “No reason asked full money back within 14 days, 180 days complete warranty”, and when on the return info page, they say this: “We do not accept return and exchange unless on very special terms”. So which one is it?
I'll tell you which, they go out of their way to give you a big thumbs up, and by thumb I mean the longest of fingers.
I got really, really pissed at these guys at one point, but I managed to get a refund after all. Mind you, the process is not a pleasant one by any means.

The Bottom Line

To sum up this Mic-market.com review, I can't say I'm a big fan of their replica Rolex collection, based on the one I ordered, but they will get a second chance in the future. Until then, my advice for these guys is to make their policy very clear, change their attitude toward customers and sell better products.
